Job Description for Assistant Director (Information)

Main Responsibilities and Tasks for the job Assistant Director (Information)

1. Coordinate the preparation of educational and other types of releases to the public through the print and electronic media relative to water supply, sewerage & drainage, operations and development works and activities being carried out by WASA
2. Coordinate press conferences and seminars on behalf of WASA management
3. Coordinate all public relations activities for the Managing Director, and other WASA management as required
4. Coordinate the publication of new tender notices for WASA
5. Coordinate the preparation and publication of brochures, posters, hand bills and other printed documents on behalf of WASA
6. Prepare arrangements for exhibitions relative to water supply, sewerage and drainage services
7. Review and assess daily newspaper articles pertaining to WASA, inform the Managing Director accordingly and follow up on responses as directed
8. Prepare proper protocol for foreign delegations and teams
9. Perform any other duties assigned:

Qualification

M.A / M.Sc. Mass Communication / M.A Journalism with two years experience in Government or Semi Government Organization for the post of Assistant Director (Information).

Note: Only Practical Experience after the prescribed qualification in Government or Semi Government shall be considered.
