Job Description for Assistant Director (Information)

Main Responsibilities and Tasks for the job Network Administrator.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

1. Design and creates computer networks, network topology and network engineering (e.g. Internet, Interact, Web mail, FTP servers etc.) for the purpose of ensuring effective and efficient computer operations.
2. Installs and tests server software on a variety of platforms (e.g. service packs, application software, operating software, hardware upgrade, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining District WAN/LAN and telecommunication systems.
3. Maintain network operations and software applications (e.g. servers (file, print, application, WEB, database, proxy, etc.), operating systems, district wide server backup, routine maintenance programs, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring efficient operations.
4. Manage assigned projects and program components (e.g. migration to new systems; scheduling installations, product research, etc.) for the purpose of delivering services in compliance with established guidance and/or objectives.
5. Participate in a variety of planning and development activities, including district wide committees for the purpose of creating short and long range plans for the ongoing support to the district.
6. Prepare written materials (e.g. procedures, system level documentation, reports, memos, site surveys, operational documentation, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference, and/or conveying information.
7. Recommend equipment, supplies and materials for the purpose of acquiring required items and completing jobs efficiently.
8. Research trends, products, equipment, tests, etc. for the purpose of recommending procedures and/or purchases.

For Male: Age 21 to 30+05 years             For Females: Age 21 to 30+08 years

Qualification

1. BS (Four years) degree (second division) in Information Technology or Computer Science or Software Engineering from a University recognized by the Higher Education; and
2. ii) One Year’s post qualification experience in the relevant field.

Note:-

1. Only Practical experience after the prescribed qualification shall be considered.
2. ii) Experience in private entities shall be accepted if such entity is registered with SECP, REGISTRAR OF Firms or any other Regulatory Authority..
